Both the AAPD and ADA recommend that children visit a dentist at least once before the age of one. We too believe in our office to help create dental home for your child at a young age. The initial appointment involves demonstrating to the child all the fun gadgets in the dental operators – the air-water syringe, the moving chair, the big flashlight. If the child allows, sometimes we get to brush their teeth, sometimes we get to just look in their mouth. We firmly believe the more your child experiences the dental office in a positive manner, the more enthusiasm he/she will have to maintaining a healthy mouth throughout their life.
